The title of this post is probably slightly misleading as it says positivity only, I don’t realistically for one minute think that any of us can go through life and be 100% sunshine and rainbows. We live in such a face paced world nowadays that it’s so easy to get dragged down by the daily grind of things, weather that be smaller issues like having a bad hair/make up day, getting up late or bigger things e.g work, bills or family struggles having a bad day from time to time is inevitable.
The truth is though that no matter how many struggles life throws at us and how hard it gets, only you are in control of your own happiness. Everyday when we wake up we have a choice weather to see the positives or focus on our problems and be negative, there is a quote that I love and it goes ‘Positive mind, Positive vibes, Positive life!’. Both good or bad vibes are infectious and I don’t know about you guys but I’d rather radiate and spread love and good vibes than be a negative person.
You guys will know from previous posts that I have suffered from depression for a huge part of my life so I completely understand that it’s not always easy but recently I’ve been trying to live by this quote. There are so many beautiful in this world that we so often overlook weather that be how beautiful the sunset is, how cute your baby niece/nephew are when they smile or how pretty the scenery around us is . I’ve truly began to realise now that you can’t live a positive and happy life if you keep being focused on the negatives or surround yourself with negative people. So if you have people around you who thrive off negativity you should lose them, if you see something you don’t like online just keep scrolling and when you wake up every morning promise yourself that you will try to see the beautiful positivity in that day.
You’re all beautiful, special and talented people who deserve the most positive, happy and amazing life so go out and spread that positivity wherever possible because life is too short to be negative or hurtful.
If you follow me on social media then you’ll know that for months now I have been working my butt off and pleading with anyone who will listen to give me some much needed help to get my business ideas off the ground, I must of sent over 50 emails in the last week or so with little to no reply.
I didn’t realise how much it would hurt to be offering my help for free and have hardly no one accept my help, it leaves a huge dint on your self confidence too say the least and as much as I hate to admit it, I actually considered giving up until I spoke to a lovely friend who reminded me that ‘Rome wasn’t built in a day’. This gave me the kick in the right direction I needed and as I always do when I’m feeling disheartened I went quote searching and found this beauty.
Anyone who’s known me for a while will tell you that I’m one of the most inpatient people ever no matter what the situation I get so excited and I can’t stand waiting for things, reading this quote though and speaking to my friend defiantly put things back into a better perspective and I’m now starting to realise that my business plans will take time to happen, people may not want my help right now but everything happens for a reason and even though I’m not exactly where I want to be in life right now, I am closer to my happier, more confident and successful life that I want than I was this time last year, last month or even last week. Everyday that I’m working hard it may not seem like much is changing but I’m stepping ever closer to my dreams with each moment that passes.
One thing i’ve learn’t this week is too be patient! So whatever it is that you’re striving towards guys just keep moving forward, it may take days, weeks, months or even years. Things won’t always run smoothly and I can garntee that you’ll have days were you want to give up but everyday you’re working hard is a day closer too you living your dreams and on that day you’ll be so glad you kept moving forward! ❤
After my ‘not so’ Motivational Monday last week and a rubbish few days, I went away done some soul searching/quote reading and I’m back too bring you all some motivation on this lovely Monday.
In a world that can at times be so full of sadness and pain it’s easy too see how people can become wrapped up with life’s struggles and stresses e.g paying bills, working, family troubles and forget all about the good things they have. I’m probably one of the worst culprits when it comes to overthinking or worry, so when I saw the quote above I thought to myself when was the last time I just stopped what I was doing and counted my blessings? With that in mind I thought I would use this post to take some time out and list down the things I’m most grateful for so here goes!
Things I’m grateful for?
Cups of tea
It’s almost Christmas
So there it is my small list of things I am grateful for, weather you have one or hundred and one things on your list try to wake up everyday and be thankful for the positive things you have in your life. Maybe to you your positives may not seem much but I’m sure too some people they would mean the world!
My nanny always used too say ‘ There is always someone worse off than you’ and this is something that I try to remember when I’m feeling down in the dumps, I may not have a perfect life but I’m blessed with the things I do have.
So what are you guys thankful for? Let me know in the comments below. Lets share some positivity!
