Motivational Monday – Live everyday like it’s your last!

All too often in life things happen that make us realise that life really is far too short to spend it being unhappy, with regrets or wasting it doing not much at all. I’ve always been a self confessed ‘future worrier’ but the older I get the more I realise that if I spend my life worrying about what might happen in the next 5 years, 10 years or even next week then I am wasting and missing out on all the happy memories or fabulous opportunities that may be right infront of me in the here and now.

It’s so easy to get caught up in life with a laid back attitude and think ‘Ohh i’ll start next week or there’ll be another chance’  we all do it but the truth is you only have to watch the news to see awful stories of  people loosing there lives in a split second and sadly these people aren’t lucky enough to have the opportunities you may take for granted on a daily basis because you promise yourself you’ll do it another time. What if that other time never came? What opportunities would you take today?

So please live your life to the fullest, if you get opportunities don’t wait, don’t turn them down just grab them with both hands and seize the day. Try and make everyday the best and most amazing day of your life

  1. I’ve definitely been future worrier too for much of my life and it’s definitely something I’ve been trying to not do so much.

A little a while ago, I realized I spent so much of my time worrying that I wasn’t even enjoying life. Sometimes, not worrying is easier said than done, but just being aware of my tendency to worry and what I can do to lessen that has definitely changed my life for the better. 🙂

  2. So true wether it’s worrying or stressing on something else can set you back but as you said as soon as you realize your doing it helps to try and understand why and try to alter that thought.

  3. Great post! I totally agree. I have been so complacent the last few years and always procrastinated, but last year a friend went through something and I realised how unpredictable things could be and I didn’t want to regret not doing things while I could. Especially with a disability that you know is progressive, it’s so easy to lose the ability to do something and not realise before it’s too late. I think about that a lot more now and I’ve really made more of an effort to live my life to the fullest. 🙂
